The concept of planetary gearbox

Planetary gearboxes are power transmission mechanisms based on involute planetary gear transmission technology. They achieve speed reduction through multiple planetary gears rotating around a sun gear, featuring lightweight, compact size, and a wide transmission ratio range (25-4000 r/min).

Installation methods include foot mounting, flange mounting, and torque arm mounting. Precision planetary gearboxes belong to this type, characterized by high precision and strong stability, and are mainly used in high-end manufacturing fields such as robotics, new energy equipment, and high-end machine tools.

Planetary gearboxes use carburized and quenched or nitrided alloy steel gears, and their modular design meets different combination requirements, making them widely used in medical devices, automotive manufacturing, petrochemicals, and aerospace. The upstream of the industry chain includes raw material suppliers such as steel and aluminum, as well as bearing and processing/testing equipment suppliers. Downstream applications cover machine tools, robots (accounting for 30%), and new energy equipment.
